HouseCall VR Featured in VA News: Transforming Diabetes Education

We’re honored to share that HouseCall VR was recently featured in VA News for our work transforming how Veterans learn about their health. The article highlights our collaboration with the VA’s Greenhouse Initiative* and the powerful role virtual reality can play in improving patient education.

This feature marks an important moment for our team—and for the broader effort to make health information easier to understand, more accessible, and more actionable.

During our December visit to the Gulf Coast VA, Veterans and staff tested our immersive diabetes education modules using the HouseCall VR headsets. Their feedback has helped shape the product—everything from pacing to visuals to emotional tone. That real-world input is helping us launch a tool that meets patients where they are, especially those managing complex conditions like diabetes.

The Greenhouse Initiative gave us something invaluable: the chance to build alongside the very people who will use this technology. Thank you to everyone involved for championing this effort and ensuring Veteran voices were at the center of the process.

This is just the start. Our diabetes education modules are ready now, with more chronic conditions to follow. We're committed to giving patients and providers a better way to connect, understand, and act on healthcare information.
